Young Literary Prodigy Anushka Deepak Jere’s Book Halfway Home Featured at the 49th International Kolkata Book Fair.

In a remarkable achievement for a young literary voice, 17-year-old national award-winning writer Anushka Deepak Jere has marked a significant milestone in her writing journey as her book Halfway Home was showcased at the prestigious International Kolkata Book Fair 2026, one of the largest and most celebrated literary events in the world.
Despite her young age, Anushka has already built an impressive literary portfolio. With over three years of active involvement in the writing field, she has successfully compiled more than 25 books and co-authored over 250 anthologies, making her one of the promising young talents in contemporary Indian literature.
Her dedication and creative excellence have earned her numerous prestigious recognitions. Among them are the ‘ICONIC WRITER AWARD’ and ‘RISING STAR 2023’ presented by Drop of Change Publications, as well as the ‘BEST WRITER AWARD’ and ‘BEST COMPILER AWARD’ by DJ Publications. She has also been honored with the ‘NATIONAL ACHIEVER’S AWARD’ by Magic Book of World Records.
In 2024, Anushka received international recognition when Sky Era International Awards conferred upon her the distinguished title of “Most Influential Indian Literary Personality.” Her impactful poetry has also gained attention for addressing social issues. She received the ‘Naari Samman Award’ for her poem Reality, which highlights the challenges of women’s injustice and harassment, bringing attention to important social concerns through literature.
Adding another feather to her cap, Anushka recently compiled her first world-record-aiming anthology titled Beyond Words – A Reader’s Delight. The anthology created history by achieving the record for the longest anthology compiled by a female individual, containing approximately 16,000 words, and was officially recognized by both the Glorious Book of World Records and the Inkzoid Book of World Records.
