Educator and Author Payal Chowdhury’s The Unfading Beam Gains Spotlight at the 49th International Kolkata Book Fair.

Acclaimed writer and educator Payal Chowdhury has reached a remarkable milestone in her literary journey as her book The Unfading Beam was featured at the prestigious International Kolkata Book Fair 2026, one of the world’s largest and most celebrated literary festivals. The placement of her book at this global literary platform highlights her growing influence and dedication to the field of literature.

Originally from Belpahar, Odisha, Payal Chowdhury was born into a family deeply rooted in education and cultural values. Her love for writing began at the young age of ten as a hobby, which gradually transformed into a lifelong passion. Today, she is widely recognized for her creative expression and contributions to contemporary literature.

Professionally, Payal serves as a teacher at Belpahar English Medium School, while continuing to pursue her passion as a writer. She holds a Master’s degree in English and has also completed a fashion designing course under the guidance of Anuradha Jha. Her formal writing career began in November 2020, after which she rapidly gained recognition in the literary community.

Demonstrating exceptional dedication to literature, Payal has participated as a co-author in more than 700 anthologies and has actively contributed to literary podcasts and discussions. Her works reflect a unique blend of creativity, emotion, and thoughtful expression that resonates with readers across different backgrounds.

Over the years, her achievements have been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including the Aloha Award, Indian Noble Award, Rising Star Award (Multi-Talent Category), and a Gold Medal for her literary excellence. She has also received the distinguished “Writer of the Year” Award for her remarkable contributions to literature.

Her creative accomplishments have further earned her recognition in global record platforms such as the Inkzoid Book of World Records, where she achieved a record for completing 100 four-line quotations within 50 minutes, and the Glorious Book of World Records. Among her many accolades are the Iconic Personality Award, Unique Personality of 2022, and the Inkzoid Shining Star Awards, acknowledging her creativity and literary impact.

Payal Chowdhury was also honored with the TPL Shiksha Awards in Dwarka, New Delhi, receiving the title “Multitalented Woman of the Year.” Additionally, the Inkzoid Foundation felicitated her with the title “Best of Best 2023.”

Her achievements have been widely recognized in the media. Major platforms including Press Trust of India, Lokmat Times, Republic News 8 Today, and several other news portals have featured her among the Top 8 Prominent Indian Personalities Who Inspired the World, highlighting her influence in literature and beyond.

In recognition of her global literary impact, Payal Chowdhury was also honored with the “Global Legends Award” under the title “Global Woman Writer – 2024.” She later received the Grand Master Award 2023 in association with Inkzoid Foundation and Glorious Book of World Records, being felicitated as “Grand Master in World Record 2023” for her outstanding dedication, creativity, and achievements in literature.

Continuing her inspiring journey, Payal Chowdhury was also honored with the “Most Promising Author of the Year 2024” award in association with Kalam Forum, recognizing her exceptional contribution to literature and poetry as an internationally featured author.
